England U21 vs. Sweden U21

On Tuesday evening, I travelled a short way down the M6 to Walsall FC’s Bank’s Stadium, where England U21 were playing Sweden U21 in a friendly match. Weather-wise, it was a grim evening…a strong wind throughout the evening blew the unrelenting rain in all manner of directions, making it nigh on impossible to keep everything protected from the elements. Fortunately, the ‘live’ value of the match wasn’t huge, it was more a chance to get some stock pictures once again of the latest players working their way up the international ladder.

As a consequence, it was somewhat of a systematic shoot, with my focus strongly set on getting as many different players on their own as possible. However, because the pitch was struggling so much to cope with the sheer amount of water being lashing down on it, there was a great deal of mud at either end, so at least that gave me something to look for outside of the norm…
