Dubrovnik

I recently travelled to Dubrovnik, the city located on Croatia’s Dalmatian coast, on the Adriatic Sea. Despite it’s growing popularity, the city itself remains largely unspoilt, in terms of mass commercialisation anyway, and thus provides an incredible setting for photographs.

After the damage it suffered during the Serbian-Montenegrin war in the early 1990s, the town was very quickly re-built, with Government and private donors ploughing millions of pounds in to help restore their coveted tourist destination to its former glory. The results are staggering…the old building and city walls look incredible, and the Old Town itself remains largely pedestrianized which allows visitors to wander freely, enjoying the beauty of such an idyllic setting. I’ll certainly be looking to go back to Dubrovnik in the not-too-distant future, and I’d recommend anyone else to do the same…
