A Fantastic Finale!

After disposing of Everton in their final home game of the season, Leicester City’s manager Claudio Ranieri and his captain, Wes Morgan, stepped up onto the podium in the middle of the pitch at the King Power Stadium and thrust the tall, crown-topped trophy high into the sky, bringing the curtain down on the most extraordinary Barclays Premier League season ever witnessed.

The emotional highs and lows of such a tumultuous campaign were matched only by the constant unpredictability of the final outcome. It was a refreshing sight to behold, players bouncing around in celebration in the middle of May not dressed in Manchester United, Manchester City or Chelsea kits, but in the deep blue of the Foxes, a strip whose fame and popularity increased as the months rolled by.

I popped off to Spain at the end of the football season, to spend a few days in the sun with the family. Here’s a look back at the last few jobs leading up to that break, including a memorable afternoon in Leicester…
