February’s FA Cup 5th Round tie between Burnley and Lincoln City at Turf Moor reinvigorated the public’s interest at a time when critics were circling, like vultures, over an historic competition on it’s knees in the scorching conditions of a footballing wasteland. The visitors, sitting 81 places below the hosts in the league pyramid, snatched the unlikeliest of victories when Sean Raggett scored a late header to earn his non-league side a trip to the Emirates Stadium to face 12-time winners Arsenal in the Quarter Finals.

The bitterly cold weather did little to detract from what was an extremely eventful month. Overhead kicks, protests and a bit of street football all played their part…
